Going to the Capitol?
Here’s some helpful info to help you get around at the Missouri State Capitol:
Parking Information
Parking near the Capitol is limited. Short-term parking (two hours or less) is available along Capitol Drive.
We recommend using the free public parking at:
Kirkpatrick Building
600 W Main St
Jefferson City, MO 65101
Directly across from the Kirkpatrick Building is a very large parking lot. That’s free parking for visitors. From there walk uphill toward the Capitol. Upon reaching the Capitol grounds, proceed up the main steps and walk around to the front side of the building (on the right). Please note: there is only one public entrance for visitors.
When you enter the front of the Capitol building, you will go through security check.
Walk straight to the rotunda
Take a right and go to the “Hall of Governers”. Walk through that hall.
Take a right at the T and you will see the senate hearing room down the hall on the left.
