Going to the Capitol?

Here’s some helpful info to help you get around at the Missouri State Capitol:

Parking Information

Parking near the Capitol is limited. Short-term parking (two hours or less) is available along Capitol Drive.

For longer stays, we recommend using the free public parking at:

Kirkpatrick Building
600 W Main St
Jefferson City, MO 65101

From the Kirkpatrick Building, walk uphill toward the Capitol. Upon reaching the Capitol grounds, proceed up the main steps and walk around to the opposite side of the building. Please note: there is only one public entrance for visitors.

Additional public parking options may be available nearby, depending on demand and time of day

  • Senate Committee Room #1 (SR1).

    • This room is located in the Basement level of the Missouri State Capitol building.
