Going to the Capitol?
Here’s some helpful info to help you get around at the Missouri State Capitol:
Parking Information
Parking near the Capitol is limited. Short-term parking (one hour or less) is available along Capitol Drive.
We recommend using the free public parking at:
Kirkpatrick Building
600 W Main St
Jefferson City, MO 65101
Directly across from the Kirkpatrick Building is a very large parking lot. That’s free parking for visitors. From there walk uphill toward the Capitol. Upon reaching the Capitol grounds, proceed up the main steps and walk around to the front side of the building (on the right). Please note: there is only one public entrance for visitors.
When you enter the front of the Capitol building, you will go through the security check.
Once you are past security, take an immediate left and go to the end of the long hallway. (BTW there are bathrooms along that hallway).
You will see the elevators on the right once you come to the end of the hallway. Take the elevator down to the Basement level.
Follow the map below to Hearing Room #6. If you can find the Cafeteria you are not far from the meeting room.
