PETITION TO THE U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY
Demand Transparency: Assign a Docket Number and Open the Aviation Atmospheric Emissions Petition for Public Comment
For twenty years, Americans have looked up at the streaks crossing their skies and asked questions that have gone unanswered. What are they? Who is responsible? Why has nothing been done?
On May 11, 2026, those questions were formally placed on the federal record for the first time in American history.
A coalition of researchers, legal advocates, and public health organizations filed a landmark Petition for Rulemaking with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the most comprehensive scientific and legal document ever assembled on what is actually happening in America's atmosphere and what must be done about it. Built on nearly two years of exhaustive research, peer-reviewed science, and the EPA's own contradictory documents, this petition demands that the agency fulfill its legal obligation under Section 231 of the Clean Air Act and make a formal endangerment finding for the unregulated atmospheric emissions of commercial aviation.
The EPA received the petition on May 11, 2026, confirmed by registered mail delivery receipt. The 180-day response clock has started. The deadline is November 7, 2026.
The EPA has not acknowledged it. Not a single word.
No confirmation of receipt. No docket number. No public comment period. No response of any kind.
That silence is a choice, and it is a choice that keeps this petition away from public scrutiny, prevents Americans from submitting their own comments, and allows the agency to quietly run out the clock on one of the most significant atmospheric accountability actions ever filed with a federal agency.
We are demanding that ends now.
WHAT IS A DOCKET NUMBER AND WHY DOES IT MATTER?
When the EPA receives a formal petition, it is required to assign a docket number; an official registration that places the petition on the public record and opens a comment period during which any American can submit their views directly to the agency.
Without a docket number, the petition exists in administrative limbo. The public cannot officially comment. Legislators cannot formally respond. The agency can ignore it without accountability.
A docket number is not a courtesy. It is a fundamental requirement of transparent, accountable government. The EPA's failure to assign one is not an oversight. It is a barrier, and we are asking you to help us tear it down.
WHAT THIS PETITION PROVES
This is not a petition about conspiracy theories or unproven claims. Every finding is sourced to peer-reviewed science, federal datasets, or the EPA's own published documents.
The petition establishes on the federal record that commercial aviation is the only major emissions source in America operating with zero binding pollution limits, that its atmospheric emissions are linked to changes in weather patterns, reductions in solar irradiance, contamination of agricultural soils and watersheds, and an estimated 74,300 premature deaths annually worldwide. It also resolves, for the first time, the nationwide conflation between two distinct atmospheric phenomena that has misdirected public concern and sent the legislative efforts of 37 states in the wrong direction.
This is landmark. This is historic. And the American public has the right to weigh in on it.

WE ARE DEMANDING THE EPA:
1. Immediately assign a docket number to the Petition for Rulemaking filed by GenSeven / ClimateViewer, and co-petitioners, received May 11, 2026
2. Open a public comment period so that every American has the right to submit their views directly to the agency
3. Respond within the legally required timeframe, the 180-day deadline under the Administrative Procedure Act expires November 7, 2026
YOUR SIGNATURE MATTERS
The law is on our side. The science is on our side. The EPA's own documents are on our side. What forces a federal agency to act, beyond the law, is public pressure.
Every signature on this petition is a message to the EPA that the American people are watching, that they demand transparency, and that they will not allow this petition to be buried in administrative silence.
Sign. Share. Demand accountability.
The skies above us belong to all of us. The agency charged with protecting them works for us. It is time they remembered that.
